Kenneth Zolnierek has at least eight felonies dating back to 1984 on his record. He also wants to be the next sheriff of Bay County.

Zolnierek says he wants to "make the streets safer and people feel more at home so they don’t have to lock their doors.”

The Alpena native, whose laundry list of offenses includes distributing or promoting child sexually abusive material, relocated to Bay City in 2006.

According to Mlive, Zolnierek was last discharged by the Michigan Department of Corrections in August of 2015. He must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Oddly enough, there are no laws prohibiting the 52-year old from running for public office.
