The Race For Chase 5k/10k and Kids' race this Saturday morning in Millington is about much more than running.  Chase Coleman passed away in 2003 after a car accident, and at that difficult time his family had to make a decision that would impact many others.

The Coleman family was approached and asked to consider donating Chase's organs and tissue.  The answer was "yes", and a moment of tragedy became a lifesaving moment for 7 different recipients.  Many more were helped with tissue donations.  Since then, the Coleman family has made it their mission to make people aware that organ donation saves lives and that it's incredibly easy to let people know your wishes to become a donor.

This Saturday morning in Millington is the Race For Chase 5k run/walk, 10k run and kids race.  Registration opens at 7:30, race begins at 9 am.  The race route takes you along the Columbiaville bike path, a flat and fast course.

The Coleman family also hosts a Triathlon in July in Otter Lake.  Details about all races and about how you can become an organ donor can be found at:  www.donatelifetriathlon.com
