Like a lot of other facets of our federal government, the United States Post Office is struggling financially. Guess who picks up the tab? You got it! We do. Prices are going up at the post office, starting this Sunday.

A first class postage stamp will cost 46 cents starting this Sunday, January 27. Postcard postage will increase to 33 cents and to send a letter internationally will cost $1.10. The cost of sending a package will be more expensive as well. On average, shipping services fees will go up by 4%, with priority shipping services increasing by 6.3%.

Do you still have a need for stamps, or do you rely on email and online bill paying? Do you think the U.S. post offices will eventually close?
