Preview the New Arcade + Bounce House Coming to Genesee Valley Mall [VIDEO]
The owners of Bouncin' Play are getting ready to re-open the American Fun Center in the Genesee Valley mall, and gave us a a sneak peek at the inside before they open to the public September 1st.
The new owners of the American Fun Center also own Michigan Bouncin' Play locations in Jackson and Roseville, as well as one in Texas, and another in New Mexico. They are currently making preparations to re-open the arcade in the Sears wing of Genesee Valley Mall, and have added a series of bounce houses and obstacles to the mix.
The new American Fun Center will offer weekday wristbands for the bounce attractions for $7 ($10 on weekends) that are good for the full day, even if you leave and come back. According to the owner, most of the non-prize based games will cost just one token to play. They will also offer affordable birthday party packages, with exclusive access to the party area, while allowing party guests to supply their own food and beverage.
The owner mentioned the possibility of special events such as lock-ins in the future, as their outside entrance allows them the option of operating outside of mall business hours. They're also installing flat screen TVs and putting in couches, so Dad can watch the football game while the kids play.
The soft opening of the new American Fun Center will be September 1st, but the owners plan continue making adjustments and getting ready for the grand opening, which will likely be in a month or so.
