You don't have to drive far in Michigan to find a pothole or a section of road that is in horrendous condition. Now a Michigan lawmaker is hoping to legalize -- and heavily tax --marijuana, in an effort to fix Michigan's crumbling roads.

State Representative Brandon Dillon from Grand Rapids supports the move, which is being dubbed "Pot for Potholes." Dillon tells Grand Rapids' Fox 17 that legalizing the drug would not only bring revenue to the state, but it would decrease the amount of time police agencies spend enforcing drug laws.

Dillon says violent crime in Colorado, where recreational marijuana use is legal, has fallen 6.9%.

What do you think? Is the "Pot for Potholes" initiative a good move for Michigan?
