* * UPDATE * * Michigan State Police have reported that the Missing Advisory has been canceled after Ajanae Sherrod was found safe and in good condition.

Flint police are searching for a 9-year-old Flint girl whose life may be in danger. Ajanae Rae Sherrod was taken by her cousin Saturday. (7/14)

Text messages between the cousin and the girl's mother indicate to police that the girl may be in danger and that the cousin may be suicidal.

Ajanae was last seen on Bluebell Beach off Bray Rd. in Flint and was last seen wearing a black leopard print bathing suit and a long blue gown. She's described as a black female, 4' 9" tall, and weighs approximately 120 pounds. The name and description of the cousin are not available at this time, according to WNEM.

The abductor was last seen driving a maroon 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Police say the pair may be on Flint's east side.

Anyone who has seen the vehicle or has any information about the pair's whereabouts is asked to call Flint police at 810.237.6802.
