Plane Crashes In Mt. Morris Township [VIDEO]

In just the past few days, we've heard news around the world of helicopters falling out of the sky, and planes losing altitude and crashing. But today we have news of a plane crash right here in Genesee County.

The single-engine Cessna 150 took off from Dalton Airport just before 11 this morning when witnesses saw the small plane go down in a wooded area near Pierson and Elms Roads. Reports indicate that the experienced pilot, who's been flying since 1960, noticed a mechanical failure and attempted to soften the crash by heading for the trees. He survived the crash and walked away with only a few minor cuts on his forehead, and was taken to a local hospital.
