McDonald’s is changing the beef it uses for its hamburgers.For the last couple of years chef Jamie Oliver has gone after McDonald’s regarding the way they prepare their beef. They wash the fatty parts of the beef in ammonium hydroxide and use it in the filling of the beef. Sounds yummy.
It became known as the ‘Pink Slime’ process. Before the beef is washed it’s deemed unfit for human consumption. McDonald’s has announced it will change its recipe. Burger King and Taco Bell have already abandoned using ammonia in their food. Thank you.
