It looks as though the weather may put a damper on our enjoyment of the annual Perseid Meteor Showers, which take place August 9-13.  The most meteor activity should come on the 10th through the 12th, with as many as 100 per hour.

With plenty of rain and cloud cover in our weather forecast until the weekend, Mid-Michigan will miss out on the sky show for the first couple of nights.  With clearing skies Saturday and Sunday nights, you may still get a good look at many meteors or "falling stars."

Get your wish list ready.
