Well there's one to pass along to your out-of-state friends and family.

Welcome to Flint, where the water is iffy and you need a hepatitis vaccine! Indiana health officials are urging travellers to Michigan and Kentucky to get vaccinated before they visit either state.

In Michigan, we've had over 800 cases of the liver-damaging disease and 25 deaths. Kentucky has seen just 300.

Indiana typically sees 20 cases per year but so far, this year, they've seen 77. And apparently, it's all our fault. And Kentucky's fault.

Most of the cases in KY have been in or around the Louisville area.

So, pass that along to your travelling relatives. Michigan - come for the water, stay for the hep A.
