I'll never understand how some people still haven't realized that what you say online actually has consequences. Yesterday, as most people in the Northeast prepared for Hurricane Sandy, dozens of other people went on Twitter to announce their looting plans.

Here are some of the tweets from who I would consider complete and utter morons:

"If this hurricane gets real bad I'm looting stores!  I always wanted to do that."

"Who wants to go looting with me when Sandy hits?!  I need some new [s***]!"

"Bout to do some looting when this hurricane finally hits . . . gonna get a new laptop and TV . . . this hurricane might be the best thing to happen."

I never could understand why people would go looting in the first place, but why the heck would you advertise it online?  As of now, we haven't heard any reports of looting, but based on those Tweets, they could be coming.
