April 15, 2011 A lot of people are complaining and whining about gas prices and rightfully so. A partial solution is probably hanging in their garage or basement and hasn't had the dust blown of it in quite some time! As soon as the weather gets tolerable, I park my truck as much as possible and ride my bike or walk to places within a few miles.

March 16, 2011 We found these light-up cereal boxes today that illuminate store shelves. These are just a marketing demo, but there's a good chance this electrical induction technique will be lighting up grocery stores in the near future.

March 9, 2011 Remember the Spring/Summer of 2008? Gas prices in mid-Michigan were well above $4 a gallon. We didn't like it then, but a lot of us made some changes that decreased demand for oil which eventually brought prices down.
March 8, 2011 We celebrated Fat Tuesday at VG's Grocery in Davison. While we were there, we decided to hold a paczki eating contest. Congrats to our winner, Davison Mayor Tim Bishop! Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning.

Here are some of our favorite candies that are only available from roughly the second week of January to February 15th, when they are wonderfully half price!
The Super Bowl hasn't always been so super. In fact, throughout the '80s and into the first half of the '90s many of the games were blowouts the likes of which are rarely seen during the regular season.
We've had better luck with Super Bowls lately, and this year's match-up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers is about as even as can be.
So maybe Sunday's game will end up being a classic. But for now we can count down the five best Super Bowls ever played.
