Apparently, for the first time there are more older drivers on the road than younger drivers.
December 5, 2011 Research indicates that traffic fatalities are on the decline in states like Michigan, where medical marijuana is legal.
Economists Daniel Rees of the University of Colorado Denver and Mark Anderson of Montana State University conducted the study, and found that fatalities are down an average of 9% in the thirteen states that have made doctor-prescribed pot acceptable.
The reasons?

August 31, 2011 Michigan State University mascot Sparty is one of 16 mascots on the "Capital One Mascot Team". Sparty will get his chance to to win the title of "Capital One Mascot of the Year". It's the first time in the challenges' 10 year history that Sparty has been entered. It's a fan voting contest that runs the 12 weeks of football season.
Master gardener, Ruth Simon found three brown recluse spiders in her Flint home and took them to the Michigan State University Extension Center in Genesee County in June. Brown recluse spiders are not supposed to live in Flint, according to Howard Russell, an entomologist at Michigan State University. Can the brown recluse spider be migrating to Michigan?
August 4, 2011 A new law in Missouri will make it illegal for teachers and students in that state to have private relationships on social media sites like Facebook.
The idea is to discourage sexual contact, though the social networking language is buried within: "Teachers also cannot have a non-work-related website that allows exclusive access with a current or former student."
Should teachers and students be "friends" on social media sites?
