A lot of really talented actors/actresses don't have an "Oscar." No problem, on Tuesday a Brentwood, California auction house will put 15 of the golden statuettes up for auction. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences condemns the auction, but cannot stop the sale of Hollywood's most wanted trophy. As of 1950, the Academy began requiring Oscar winners to sign a contract stating that neither they nor their heirs would sell their Oscars without first offering it to the Academy for $1. These Oscars predate that requirement, and some come from classic movies.
