November 21, 2011 Texters in Pakistan had better start watching their language. The telecommunications authority ordered cellphone companies to start blocking text messages considered what it calls obscenities. Here's a partial list of the words considered obscene:

October 17, 2011 The incident occurred at at McDonald's in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, which locals say has a reputation of attracting unruly customers. It began when a customer slapped the cashier, who is a convicted felon. He retaliates, the two girls jumped the counter and the cashier, Rayon McIntosh, began beating the girls with a metal rod.

August 25, 2011 The price of parking just went up at Bishop International Airport. The Bishop Airport Authority on Tuesday approved substantial increases in all three lots, including doubling the hourly rate in the short-term lot from $1 per 30 minutes to $2. The parking increases will take effect on January 1st.
