October 9, 2011 Don't have a cow, man! Life in Springfield for "The Simpsons" will go on, at least for a 24th and 25th season. After a particularly heated and very public battle, the Fox network and 20th Century Fox have come to an agreement with the series' voice actors.
October 7, 2011 Things in Springfield may come to an abrupt halt, regardless of whether the current contract dispute with its voice actors is resolved. Now Fox officials are saying that even if the actors acquiesce, and agree to the pay cut, next year (season 24) will be the series' last.
In other words:
October 5, 2011 D'oh! "The Simpsons", TV's longest-running sitcom, may end after its 23rd season. Its possible demise is not because of a ratings issue - the series is practically a license to print money for Fox - but because of a contract dispute between the production company and The Simpsons' principal voice actors.
June 9, 2011 Turns out, goofy dads like Homer Simpson of "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy's" Peter Griffin didn't fare so well - they tied for second place behind Ray Barone, the funny but bumbling dad on "Everybody Loves Raymond" who was named TV's goofiest dad.
