Almost two hours. That’s how long Demi Lovato sits in hair and makeup for ‘X Factor‘ shoots. Jesus, how does she find the time to judge all the talent that hits the stage when she has a glam squad and army of people attending
In what could be a major breakthrough in the treatment of depression, scientists have discovered that compounds found in a certain South African species of flowers snowdrops and daffodils affect parts of the brain involved in the illness. The question is, which ones?
Movie titles can be a tricky thing. Sometimes they’re so on-the-nose they’re funny (‘Snakes on a Plane’) and other times they’re so ambiguous they leave us scratching our heads after we leave the theater. (We’re still not sure what an ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ is.)
But perhaps the trickiest genre of movie titles are the ones that promise a delicious experience and fail to deliver. Yes, we’re talking about movies that sound like they should be about food, but are about different subjects entirely.
Corned Beef & Cabbage? No thanks! When it comes to St. Patrick's Day treats, I'll pass on the food, and go straight to the beverages. Green Beer? Check. A McDonald's Shamrock Shake? You betcha!

Your kids had a great night of Trick-or-Treating on Halloween, and you're not really wanting them to eat that entire pillowcase full of candy. Save them of few of their favorites and take the rest at the Dental Care Team's Halloween Candy Buy-Back. The Dental Care Team will give you a dollar a pound for your candy, and will donate a dollar to the Children's Miracle Network for each pound. The collected candy will be divided between the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan for Holiday Baskets and for our troops overseas. The candy buy-back will take place on Wednesday, November 2nd from 3-6 pm
Of course you're probably out buying candy or getting the kids ready for trick-or-treating later. Do your kids know the meaning of Halloween or what it's all about? The Today Show interviewed several kids to see what they think today is all about and most of them said it's all about the candy. Even as an adult, I will have to agree with them because it's all about the candy today. Watch some of their responses after the jump.
