It's only October, but a rare snowstorm has hit the Northeast, leaving 2.7 million people without power, according to Yahoo. The storm worsened as it moved north, with residents in Plainview, Massachusetts receiving 27 inches of snow. Can you imagine getting ready to go to a Halloween party, but you have to miss it because you can't get out of your house?

Oakland pitcher Guillermo Moscoso matched zeros with Verlander until the 6th inning when Austin Jackson drilled one over the wall in dead center for the first Tiger hit of the day, and suddenly Verlander and the Tigers had the lead.
