Oscar Winner Matthew McConaughey to Pitch Lincoln

Lincoln Motor Co. has tapped Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey to pitch their vehicles.

In an attempt to help Lincoln reach a broader audience, the Detroit News says ads featuring McConaughey will begin in September, and he will "act as the storyteller" in the spots. McConaughey - who won an Oscar last year for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club" and also has appeared in popular movies like "Magic Mike," "The Wolf of Wall Street" and the hit TV show "True Detective" - has signed a two year deal. Lincoln is attempting to transform itself and its new crossover, the 2015 MKC, will soon hit dealer lots.
