An organized-crime ring rooted in Florida is moving north, and has recently struck victims in Michigan. The 'Felony Lane Gang' primarily targets women, looking for people who are busy and on the go.

The gang has duped people in Livingston and Oakland Counties, and Grand Blanc Police Chief Ron Wiles tells ABC-12 they're moving north.

The group not only looks to nab purses and valuables left in unattended vehicles, but is also attempting to recruit and train people to join their crime ring.

Wiles notes that the thieves target victims in malls, gyms, daycare facilities -- anywhere people may leave their vehicles unattended.
