Ohio Man Sentenced to Hold ‘Idiot’ Sign as Punishment for Threatening Cops [VIDEO]

Richard Dameron is an idiot. That's according to a sign the Ohio man is holding outside Cleveland police headquarters, part of his punishment for calling 911 and threatening police officers.

"I apologize to Officer Simone & all police officers for being an idiot calling 911 threatening to kill you. I'm sorry and it will never happen again," the sign reads.

The man was sentenced to hold the sign for three hours each day last week. He told WOIO that he is truly sorry, and says he was drunk at the time of the incident.

"I apologize from deep down. And I don't want no [re] percussions coming back one it because of all this."
