Ohio Cops Accompany Fallen Colleague’s Daughter on First Day of Kindergarten [VIDEO]
Charlee Winebrenner attended her first day of Kindergarten on Thursday (8/27) accompanied by her mother, grandparents, and dozens of officers from multiple police agencies in and around Akron, Ohio. Her father, Justin Winebrenner, was killed in November while trying to stop a gunman at a bar in Akron.
It was Charlee's grandfather, retired police officer Rob Winebrenner, who organized the event.
"They promised they'd take care of her and be there the first day of kindergarten, and that they'd be there the day she walked down the aisle," Winebrenner tells WOIO.
