Obie the Dachshund Update – Healthier, Skinnier, Inspiring [Video]

Do you remember Obie, the morbidly obese 70 lb Dachshund that became the unofficial whipping boy for fat pets everywhere?

We have an update, and the transformation is AMAZING!

The world met Obie a year ago as a morbidly obese Dachshund. At the age of five, he weighed 77 lbs.

Nora Vanatta, who has a degree in animal science, was able to adopt him and a much healthier lifestyle began for Obie.

Fans of Obie have been able to track his progress on a special Facebook page, Obie Dog Journey, and on the website obiedog.com.

A year later, with diet and exercise, Obie is 50 lbs lighter.
