MDOT is continuing nighttime ramp closures around Flint this weekend as the resurfacing work on I-75 continues.

According to MDOT, work will occur at the following locations:

  • From 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday, the ramp from northbound I-475 to southbound I-75 will be closed. Traffic will detoured to continue on northbound I-475 to northbound I-475 to the Mt. Morris Road exit to access the ramp to southbound I-75.
  • From 9 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday, the Miller Road ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to southbound I-75 to Bristol Road, then loop back around to northbound I-75. The northbound I-75 ramp to M-21 (Corunna Road) will also be closed. Traffic will continue on I-75 to the Pierson Road exit, then loop back around onto southbound I-75 to access M-21. The M-21 (Corunna Road) ramp to northbound I-75 will also be closed. Traffic will be routed to southbound I-75 to Miller Road, then loop back around and take northbound I-75. This closure will only take place after the Miller Road northbound ramp is reopened.

The work is part of a $13.3 million project that will resurface 19 miles of I-75 from the Genesee/Oakland County line to the I-475 north junction. Work is expected to be completed in September.
