I have never been a fan of remakes.  The only reason I kind of like the Uncle Kracker version of “Drift Away” is because the original artist, Dobie Gray, does background vocals and has a solo.  However, a group called Walk Off The Earth has been doing amazing covers with extremely entertaining videos to go along with them.

You may remember their spin on Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" that went viral a few years back.  To tell you the truth, I wasn't a fan of that song until I saw it performed by Walk Off The Earth.

When I saw that they covered one of my all-time favorites, “Listen To The Music” by the Doobie Brothers, instead of being afraid, I was excited to see how these remarkable musicians would put their mark on the classic.  Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed at all!  You can check out that video by clicking here.

Over the weekend I stumbled across this little gem.  Much like "Somebody That I Used To Know", I really didn't like Lorde's "Royals" either... again until I watched it performed by Walk Off The Earth.  What still blows my mind is that this was all done in just one take, and you can see what went in to pulling it off in the behind the scenes video below as well!. Check it out, and enjoy your new favorite band!
