Is this a trend in which more and more companies are trying to bully their employees into healthier lifestyles?

According to a newly published survey conducted by Towers Watson and the National Business Group on Health, 40% of companies in the U.S. are willing to use surcharges against their employees based on their health. That percentage has almost doubled since 2011.

Smokers and employees that are overweight seem to be the primary focus. More in the video below.

Business experts predict that by 2015, two-thirds of American companies will penalize workers who are overweight or smoke.
