New Report says Genesee County Bridges Second Worst in Michigan

Something to ponder next time you drive across one: a new report says bridges in Genesee County are second worst in the state. 

ABC 12 says that the report came from the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association. The organization said of the 371 bridges in the county, 165 of them are structurally deficient or obsolete. Scary!

Wayne County came in first for worst bridges in the state and Saginaw County placed in the bottom five. Researchers said state legislators need to develop a long-term, stable source of funding for road and bridge repairs.

Good timing as the Michigan House is voting on a $500 million package today for road funding!
