A very cool 1950s diner is going to be opening soon.

You could soon be eating lunch back in the 1950's.The Vehicle City Classic Diner is one step closer to opening its doors. Vehicle City Harley-Davidson has been given approval for a tavern liquor license for its '50s style diner.

The diner, which hasn't been named, was delivered by truck and lifted onto its new foundation at Vehicle City Harley-Davidson, at 2400 Austins Parkway, Flint Township. was purchased from a private owner in Lansing and is part of the motorcycle dealership's planned expansion onto a piece of property the owners acquired last fall.

The Flint Township Board Of Trustees granted the approval Monday night and will allow the diner to serve beer and liquor at dinner. The license still needs to be approved by the state.It's part of a big expansion project underway at the site to transform it into a tourist destination. No opening date has been released as of yet.
