New Bike Sharing Program Comes to Flint
The Flint area is getting a new bike sharing program called "Flint Bike Share".
The Genesee County Parks, the Flint River Corridor Alliance, downtown partners and Zagster, a bike sharing company that's developed similar programs for other communities, have partnered to bring this new program to the Flint area.
The first bike station will debut at the Genesee County Parks administration office on Thursday. This station will offer access to Bluegill Boat Launch Trail, which is part of the Iron Bell Trail System. The Iron Bell Trail System connects Belle Isle all the way up to Ironwood in the UP.
Rides for members of the plan will be free for the first half-hour, and $2 per hour after that. All riders must be 18 years old.
