This beef between neighbors just got real. Two people in Louisiana whose animosity has been going strong for a very long time recently got into a physical altercation over a Vienna sausage.

Andrea Smith and Donald Trayler were hanging out in her yard when she asked him a Vienna sausage. He refused, and she became enraged.

"I'm a lady, but sometimes I get upset, and before I knew it, I backhanded him," Smith said.

The blow nearly knocked Trayler out of his electric wheelchair. The man then pulled a knife. He claims that she fell on the blade, which resulted in the cut on her face. But Smith claims otherwise.

"Oh, no honey. He raised up out of that chair and sliced me. Uh, uh, I didn't fall on no knife. He did that," Smith tells KNOE.

Neighbors say they're used to hearing the two arguing but never expected their differences to manifest into a physical altercation.

Traylor was arrested and has been charged with aggravated second-degree battery.
