Your momma wasn't jerking your chain when she told you that "breakfast is the most important meal of the day". Whether you're an athlete or a "math-lete", starting your day with a good breakfast helps you to perform better.  That is true for kids and adults.  As a result, many schools offer a free breakfast program for kids from low income families.  Check with your child's school to see if they offer a breakfast program, or for eligibility requirements.  This is "National School Breakfast Week", so make sure your kids start their day with a good breakfast!
