Mud Factor is almost here. I visited Baja Acres on Birch Run Road in Millington this morning to take a sneak peek, and I gotta tell you that I am excited for the big event on Saturday. Online registration is now closed, but you can sign up in person on Saturday.

Mud Factor is a national 5k obstacle mud run. There will be things to climb over, crawl under, water and mud obstacles and a giant water/mud slide. You will get dirty. You will also have a blast doing it. 5k is just a little over three miles. Is the course tough? Sure it is. Is it impossible for someone who might not be in the greatest shape? No way. This course is doable for most anybody. Take your time and enjoy the mud and slime!

The Cars 108 wave takes off at 10 am. Join J. Patrick, myself and lots of other people who like to have fun in the mud. We all have to be clean 99.999% of the time, here's an opportunity to run and play like a little kid again. After you hose the mud off yourself, enjoy a cold adult beverage and some live music while you re-live your experience with friends old and new.

Or you could sit on the sofa and watch Dr. Phil. I know what I'll be doing Saturday. Full dirty details can be found at www.mudfactor.com

Don't forget your duct tape for your shoes! (helps keep them from being sucked off in the mud)
