Mom Pens Letter to Parents After Son With Down Syndrome is Left Out of Class Birthday Party

If you're a parent, your school probably had sort of rules or protocol regarding inviting classmates to birthday parties. For instance, invitations can be passed out in school only if all the kids in the class are invited. Otherwise, individual invitations have to be delivered privately. Sound familiar?

Meet Sawyer's mom. Jennifer Engele posted a letter on Facebook after her son Sawyer was the only child in his class not invited to a birthday party. Sawyer, who has Down Syndrome was devastated after being omitted.

But the story has a happy ending!

After reading Engele's letter, the mother who is hosting the birthday had her son create a special invitations for Sawyer. In an update to the viral Facebook post, Jennifer notes that Sawyer has been beaming ever since, and can't stop talking about it!
