Mom Finds Out Her Baby’s Gender — From Her Late Father [VIDEO]

An expectant mom found out the gender of her unborn baby in an unexpected way -- The sex of her baby was revealed to her by her late father.

Jennifer Jones-Prothro and her husband James Prothro are expecting their ninth child. With their first eight kids, Jones-Prothro's father Charlie insisted that they not reveal to him the gender of the baby before it was born, saying, "There are not many surprises left in the world these days," Prothro told CNN.

So during her ninth pregnancy, Jennifer told her hubby that she wanted him to come up with a creative gender-reveal.

James came through in a big way. Using voicemails from his late father-in-law, Prothro edited Charlie's voice into a personalized message for Jennifer, which revealed the sex of their unborn baby.

In the video below, you'll see Jennifer holding a speaker, and hear her late father delivering a message to his daughter that she is expecting a baby gir.

"The last person I expected to hear was my dad," Jones-Prothro told CNN. "I wouldn't have wanted to learn it any other way."
