The Detroit Tigers were well represented at the 2014 All-Star game with Miguel Cabrera‘s home run and Max Scherzer getting the win.

Miguel Cabrera set the tone early with a screaming line drive home run in his first at bat, that gave the AL an early lead.

Despite his huge start to the game, Miggy lost the MVP award to Mike Trout . . . this is where I start to side eye baseball.

How in the world is Mike Trout going to win the MVP award in a game that was built for Derek Jeter?  How is he going to win it over Miguel Cabrera, who had a huge home run?

The win was given to Max Scherzer after he threw a scoreless fifth inning. Max is only the fourth Tiger pitcher to pick up a win in an All-Star game.
