Midland Gym Drops Member After Gender Identity Complaint [VIDEO]

A Midland woman has had her gym membership revoked after complaining about another member who identifies as the opposite sex.

Yvette Cormier tells WNEM was shocked to see someone who looked like a man in the women's locker room at her local Planet Fitness. Club officials said the man chooses to identify as a woman, and is therefore permitted to change in the women's locker room.

But could the gym's policy lead to individuals falsely claiming to identify as the opposite sex in order to gain access to the other gender's locker room facilities?
