Governor Gretchen Whitmer called it "a necessary step towards giving all Michiganders the care they need.”

Yesterday, the Governor signed into a law a bill that will require the state of Michigan to have a 24-hour mental health hotline.

Back in 2018, a spending law was passed that gave $3 million to the state to develop and run a 24/7 hotline program. The full program will be in effect in three months.

This is wonderful news, especially since the conversation about mental health has been loud and proud for some time now. We have to offer people the help they NEED if we want to fix the problem.
