Michigan Therapy Dog Shot by Neighbor for Eating Cat Food
The Montcalm county family has started a GoFundMe page to help with her vet bills.
Izzy is a therapy dog who serves as a support animal for Jaelyn Treece. Her owner, Jenn Treece, says that she is kept in the yard by an invisible fence. But sometimes, the batteries in her collar die.
They found her hiding under the porch early on Monday morning with a bullet wound in her chest. They rushed her to a local animal hospital, where she had surgery to remove the bullet from behind her shoulder and stop the bleeding.
She called the police to let them know that her dog had been shot, but didn't file an official report. The neighbor claims that he shot Izzy because she was eating his cat's food.
A GoFundMe page has been started to help with vet bills. Am I the only person who thinks that the neighbor should pay for the vet bills?
