Talk about your cruel April Fool's Day jokes! Everyone knows that old Sparty got knocked out of the NCAA men's basketball tourney by Duke the other night... everyone except the New York Times, that is.

In the photo below you can see that the esteemed Big Apple newspaper incorrectly identified which Michigan team beat Florida to advance to the final four in their headline. There is clearly a picture of a player for the Wolverines squad, yet the headline claims the Spartans won the game. They did manage to (sort of) get one aspect of the Spartans post-season correct -- things did "go south" for the team rather quickly against Duke. Better luck next year, Spartans (and New York Times).
