Michigan lawmakers are making another push to end Daylight Saving Time in our state. If the bill passes, Michigan would join Arizona and Hawaii, the only US states that observe 'Standard Time' year round.

The House bill was introduced by six representatives Wednesday, the first day lawmakers returned to the Capitol. The new measure would have to be approved by the House and Senate, then be signed into law by Gov. Rick Snyder.

The benefits of the annual time change have long been debated. Some experts say there is an increase number of traffic accidents and heart attacks following the 'Spring Forward' ritual.

WILX reports a similar measure was introduced in 2015, but did not pass.

What do you think? Should Michigan abandon Daylight Saving Time?
