If there's anything we're doing right with the future generations, it's teaching them to call 911 in an emergency.

Two young girls from Bangor Township, Michigan will be honored tonight at a Township Board meeting for calling 911 and reporting a fire at a mobile home.

The fire department responded, and they were able to extinguish the blaze before it moved on to another mobile home. The two girls who called it in are 8 and 13-years-old. Most of the residents' belongings and pets were saved as a result as well.

The Bangor FD is also thanking the local schools for allowing them to come into class and teaching the kids about fire safety.

Big thanks to EVERYONE here! Looks like every spoke in the wheel did its job!
