Michigan Firefighter Donates Liver to his Captain

Can you imagine loving your boss SO MUCH that you'd give them part of your liver??

Comstock Township fire captain Dale Beauchamp found out last November that his liver was failing him and that he would need a transplant. When he and his wife told their daughters, the girls sprung into action - they created a flyer, looking for donors, and posted it on social media.

That's where Lieutenant Doug McLiechey saw the flyer and decided to start the required tests to see if he was a match, which he was.

The surgery was performed yesterday - they actually only removed part of Doug's liver to give to Dale, and the rest will grow back by itself.
