Have you ever worked for a boss that deserved a letter like this?

A letter written by a frustrated employee and taped to the door of a BP gas station in Grand Rapids was photographed by a customer and posted to Reddit recently...and has quickly gone viral.

The manager of the Grand Rapids area BP station admits that she was more than an hour late to take over for a 3rd shift employee because she overslept. She argues that he should have called her or another employee before he decided to lock the doors and walk off the job.

Here's how it all started...

Joe Blumm, the author of that letter says it was just meant to be a simple note to express his ongoing frustration with his manager's chronic tardiness and lack pf professionalism. When he saw how quickly his letter went viral and how many times it was shared he said "I know I struck a chord with a lot of disgruntled employees who get the short end of the stick."

Now get the newly unemployed employee's side of the story...

As you might have expected, Joe was fired on Friday, but he's hoping that all of the attention his letter is getting will help him find a new one, hopefully not at a gas station.

Do you think that Joe did the right thing when he locked the doors and walked away, leaving the station closed for business until his manager showed up?
