However, he was deemed ineligible to win "Best in Show" last night.

Meet Colton, a Schipperke from Howell. He and his owner, Amy Halterman, made their way to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City and managed to win the non-sporting group category on Monday night.

He's the first Schipperke ever to win the award. However, because one of the show judges owned dogs with Colton's co-owner, he was deemed ineligible to win the top award of "Best in Show" last night, but they still let him "walk" the green carpet.

Call us biased but that's kind of unfair. It's not Colton's fault! Anyways, he's still a big deal and we're proud to say that he and his owner are from the mitten.
