Michigan DNR Waives Fishing License Fees This Weekend

If you want to give winter fishing on Michigan's lakes and streams a go, consider it for this weekend.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is waiving all fishing license fees this Saturday and Sunday. February 16 and 17 is one of 2 "free fishing weekends" held in the state of Michigan each year. Michigan hopes that these fee free weekends will attract more people to the sport of fishing here in this state.

Although licensing fees have been waived for this weekend, the DNR does stress that all fishing regulations remain in effect.
