There is a slight risk of sever thunderstorm activity in the Great Lakes region throughout the day today (6/17) and into Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center, damaging wind and hail will be the primary severe weather threats, with storms from Lower Michigan and northern Indiana eastward into Pennsylvania and New York.

M-Live's Mark Torregrossa reports that Michigan could be at risk for a derecho. A derecho is when a straight-line wind event covers a large area, and lasts for a significant amount of time.

And if you INSIST on making funny comments about the graphic above, there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop you.
