Refreshing to see a grown man tell a little boy that it's okay to cry, no?

The video is from an initiation test for the Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy in Detroit. A little boy named Bruce is trying to punch through a block, and he starts to cry.

“Being a black man in this country, you’re going to need mental fortitude. You’re going to have to be strong here,” founder Jason Wilson tells him. "More so than here.”

“And it’s good to cry so you can work through that emotion, so when it arises again, you can push it to the side, and do what you gotta do.

As the mother of a boy who is also in martial arts, I absolutely loved this video.
