Mentor Group at Grand Blanc School Supports Male Students

Now THAT is something I would've loved to have had when I was in middle school!

I'm continuously impressed with the Grand Blanc school district, and this is just another reason - did you know that they have a male mentor group at GB west middle school? Neither did I!

I saw this post the other day from the district's Facebook page and then I fell down a rabbit hole of all the cool things this group does for male students at the school.

My Dad lived in Iowa when I was a kid, so aside from my godfather living next door and my grandfather, I didn't have a lot of male influence in my life. I didn't learn how to tie a tie until went to high school, and that's just because it was Catholic and we had uniforms. This is a great program and I'm glad that it's won awards!
