Meijer to Open 200th Location in Swartz Creek
No one could be happier about the new Swartz Creek Meijer location than my wife, who has been looking forward to this day since 2006 when plans to open the new store were first announced. Well, we can only assume the 280 new employees at the Morrish Rd. location are also very pleased.
Meijer will officially open its 200th location Thursday at 10 am.
A Meijer representative told the Bay City Times that in addition to the 280 new employees, 20 people from established Meijer stores will transfer to Swartz Creek.
“As of today, all positions at the store have been filled. We had more than 2,000 people apply, which resulted in more than 1,500 people going through the interview process.”
The new location is about 210,000 square feet, and is located on Morrish Road, just north of I-69, across from Cage Fieldhouse.
