Singer/Songwriter Manny Torres is returning home to his alma mater, Flushing High School, for a pair of shows this weekend, where he'll perform some new songs and probably a few tunes you heard him cover on the final season of American Idol.

Torres, a Flushing native, made quite an impression on music lovers all over the world this season on American Idol. His run on the final season of the long-running reality singing competition may have ended in the top 24, but the music never stops.

In fact, Manny is returning home for a handful of performances at his old high school beginning this Friday (5/20) at the Vollie 4 Mollie annual fundraiser. Torres is set to perform the national anthem and have a meet and greet at the event, which raises funds for a selected Flushing student facing health challenges.

Manny will also be selling tickets at the event for his two shows that will take place the following evening at the high school, and a portion of those proceeds will be going toward the fundraising efforts as well.

The two shows are Saturday (5/21) at the Flushing High School, the first at 6p (click here to buy tickets for the 1st show) and 8p (click here to buy tickets for the last show). Tickets are $10, but you can also get VIP tickets, which include early entry, VIP seating, and a meet & greet for just $20.
